The mastermind behind this band is no-one else than JP, the guitar player of LACRIMOSA! Top-notch songwriting meets deep emotions with a touch of metal and Pink Floyd.! (Black Stone, BMS 2014)Deep in us slumbers another side, another world, concealed and mysterious. Black Moon Secret, a synonym for the unknown, intangible, yet present in us. Over the last few years, producer and multi-Instrumentalist JP Genkel - known for his productions such as for Cradle of Filth, Therion, Love Like Blood, Lacrimosa. worked on his Gothic Rock project ,Black Moon Secret". Many of the songs arose during the extensive tours around the globe as guitarist of the symphonic Gothic legend Lacrimosa. The influences of his work as film score composer is also unmistakable, settled in gloomy sound collages which give the music an epic magnitude. At the buildup of the Live-line-up it suggested itself to call on familiar fellow traveler like Julien Schmidt (Philiae) and the Swedish guitarist Henrik Flyman, a member of Lacrimosa's Live-band, too. Also on board is Marcel Degaz, bass player of the Industrial-Legend DIE KRUPPS, as well as the great exceptional singer Olaf Senkbeil (among others Dream Tide, UFO, Uli Jon Roth), who collaborated with JP in numerous studio projects. Influenced by bands like Pink Floyd, Type-O-Negative and Korn to Lacrimosa, Black Moon Secret take us to a dark, epic journey to one's own self. Hard, deep walls of guitars condense in atmospheric arrangements to an orchestral wide screen, over which compelling, deeply melancholic melodies are towering above. "Another World" is being released on Hall of Sermon, the music label of his friend and long-standing fellow traveller Tilo Wolff (Lacrimosa), one of the most influencing musicians and composers in the Gothic scene in the past years.
