Working as a seer in her humble village, she spends her days reassuring people about their future and her nights reading about the legendary civilisation that inhabited this land before them — the mighty Ascendians.

Unlike her friend, Ana, she does not dream of travelling. She is too anxious for adventure, too obsessed with her research to explore the real world, and too proud to admit how much she wishes she had her friend’s courage. Until an unexpected vision makes her question everything she thought she knew about her world.

If dragons disappeared nine hundred years ago, as they were supposed to, how could her vision ever come true?

The answer comes in the form of a suspicious client, a lying goblin who tricks her into opening a secret portal and allowing hordes of goblins to march through and plunder their way to Stonehelm…

Attracted by Seraphina’s newfound powers, three dragons, Frostbite, Ember, and Stormrider, sneak through the portal to find her and put an end to the goblins’ undying thirst for power. In order to stop the goblins, humans and dragons must form an unprecedented alliance and win a battle that has been secretly raging for centuries.
