Once part of London high society, Jill Dudley unwittingly became a penniless farmer's wife. Drawing on her own resources as an author (See her website : www.orpingtonpublishers.co.uk) she claims it was her strict two hours daily writing that kept her sane.

Romance, wild imagination, sounds and silences on a farm, all build up a picture of the pleasures to be had from farming despite the daily drudgery.
