The Nightingale

Australian thriller written and directed by Jennifer Kent. Set in 1825 in the British penal colony of Van Diemen's Land, Irish convict Clare Carroll (Aisling Franciosi) seeks revenge on British Army officers for taking the lives of her husband and child. As she employs the help of Aboriginal tracker Billy (Baykali Ganambarr), the unlikely pair journey through the wilderness with the hope of getting justice, one way or another.
