Almost one year after his son disappeared on Halloween, Mike (Cage)'s marriage has fallen apart and he is still haunted by the events of that fateful night. Determined to get to the bottom of the mysterious disappearance, Mike uncovers a number of similar cases which he believes are connected and are the workings of a supernatural being.
