Born in 1958 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, guitarist/vocalist Mike Bader has been performing professionally since 1971. His debut album, Clearcut Case of thhe Blues, was listed among the Top U.S. Blues Releases of 2004 in the 11th Annual Real Blues Awards sponsored by REAL BLUES magazine and received international acclaim in reviews and publications in the U.S., Canada and Europe. His stinging leads and smoky vocals reflect a lifelong affiliation with the blues. With his rhythm section of veteran bass player Larry Hirshberg and drum phenom 'BZ' Brandon Zimmer, they play smaller clubs as a trio, adding another guitarist, keyboardist or harp player at larger clubs and festivals. In 2006 Bader played clubs and festivals from Washington to Wisconsin including several mainstage performances. The Mike Bader Band is a hot ticket item in 2007, travelling in support of their new release, Matches My Feelings, featuring 11 all new original tunes.
