Assembled model length 10.5" Derived from the world-renowned twin-engine McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II fighter, the RF-4C is a tactical reconnaissance aircraft designed specifically to perform observation and information gathering missions, even in difficult and complex flight conditions, over enemy territory. It was easily identifiable, compared to the hunting versions, by the configuration of the front section of the fuselage where modern, photographic and terrain scanning systems had been installed. Intensively employed during the Vietnam War, the aircraft was constantly updated in avionics and photographic and data collection systems remaining operational in the aviation of the United States and other allied countries until the late 1990s.
