* This is the first of two packages that between them will anthologise the complete Fame recordings of pioneering soul man, Jimmy Hughes.

* The two CDs will include everything that Jimmy cut for Fame between 1962 and 1967, and will premiere many previously rare and unissued gems from the Fame vaults.

* "Steal Away" covers the first phase of Jimmy's career, from the time when Fame was distributed by Vee-Jay Records. His complete original "Steal Away" album is followed by six rare single-only sides and four stunning unissued tracks, all recorded at Fame's studios in Muscle Shoals.

* These recordings form a vital part of the start of southern soul.
