The Waning Moon is a pure, unapologetic guitar based gothic rock band harkening back to thesounds of the 80s and 90s goth rock scenes with their own modern take on the genre. The band is an internationalcollaboration of Ariel Maniki (Costa Rica) of Ariel Maniki and the Black Halos, and Zac Campbell (USA) of TheKentucky Vampires. Ariel commands vocals, Lyrics, additional guitars, programming, keys, and live rhythm guitars;while Zac controls guitars, drums, programming, keys, bass guitar, and live guitars. Live shows include support fromIan Joseph on live bass, and Maggie Campbell on live keyboards. "A Dream or a Vision", the bands debut full lengthalbum released through Danse Macabre Records is 10 tracks of pure goth rock from start to finish. Reminiscent of thelikes of Nosferatu, Christian Death, The Mission, Suspiria, and other similar names in the gothic rock scene - all whilemaintaining the bands own modern and unique sound. Hammering drums, driving bass, beautifully layered guitars,ethereal and emotional keyboards and synths, and haunted vocals give the album a distinct and dark sound. Lyricallythe album wanders through dark and haunting emotional landscapes, tragic love stories and deep dark introspections.Several songs contain multiple different meanings allowing the listener for personal interpretation
