Sally in Our Alley

Maurice Elvey directs this classic musical starring Gracie Fields. When Sally Winch (Fields) learns that her boyfriend has been killed during WWI she is heartbroken. However, it turns out that George (Ian Hunter) was only wounded but too ashamed of his condition to allow Sally to see the state he was in. As the truth comes close to reaching Sally her calculating flat mate, Florrie Small (Florence Desmond), decides she wants George for herself.
