Toni è un mafioso di origini calabresi ed è stato mandato a Parigi per eseguire un incarico. Nella capitale francese Toni prende contatto con colui che si fa chiamare "Il Vecchio", che lo aiuta a condurre a buon fine la sua missione. Una sera Toni incontra Maria, una giornalista particolare, sola e allo sbando, come lui. Ben presto, dietro consiglio del Vecchio, Toni uccide un boss mafioso con il quale doveva limitarsi a trattare. Esattamente l'errore da non commettere. Il suo clan lo abbandona e Toni ormai è solo, solo con Maria.
