The Whale Screenplay Book includes an introduction by Brendan Fraser, an essay by Herman Melville scholar Peter Caviello, a conversation between Darren Aronofsky and playwright Samuel D. Hunter, who adapted his play for the screen, and Hunter's full playscript.
The Whale Screenplay Book opens with an introduction by Brendan Fraser, who won an Oscar for his performance as Charlie, the film’s main character; it also includes the full screenplay, the original script, a selection of fill stills, an essay by author and English professor Peter Coviello, and a conversation between Aronofsky and Hunter, moderated by Playwrights Horizon artistic director Adam Greenfield.
