Utilizing archived images alongside insightful essays that add context related to its development, this anniversary publication reflects the evolution of the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU from its nascent and promising beginnings to its vibrant present. Readers will learn about the visionaries who laid the foundation for the institution and its collections, as well as successive eras of leadership--each one steadfast in their belief that art matters as an integral part of an educational and community experience. The volume also includes personal anecdotes from WSU faculty, students, and community members enchanted by the museum and who value it as a catalyst for learning, personal growth, and meaningful connection. Together, these years of service--starting from 1974 and stretching to 2024--point toward a bright future and the continuation of an enduring legacy.
