In 1998, five young Berliners met at a campsite in the village of "Calcatoggio" in Corsica. They decided to form a band and the plan worked. Les Calcatoggios have been involved in the Berlin ska scene for 20 years now. They first made a name for themselves at concerts in their home district of Kopenick and the surrounding area. Over time, the circle of listeners and the band's sphere of activity expanded: they now played concerts beyond the Berlin city limits to Paris, Barcelona and Valencia. Les Calcatoggios are now one of the longest-serving players in the Berlin ska scene. They still make lively and refreshing music with which they want to move everyone. Always danceable, definitely rocky, seasoned with catchy melodies and offbeats and garnished with rich brass sections.
