Fred Newmeyer and Sam Taylor direct this comedy thriller starring Harold Lloyd and Mildred Davis. Harold (Lloyd) sets out on a journey to the city with the intention of making his fortune, finding a lowly job in a department store. When his girlfriend makes an unexpected visit, he pretends to be the shop manager in order to impress her, leading to a number of comic complications.
