This group of Roman officers includes those whose later status – following the reforms of Augustus – would qualify them to serve as senatorial \u003cem\u003etribuni laticlavii\u003c\/em\u003e, and a much more numerous group who as \u003cem\u003eequites\u003c\/em\u003e would have qualified to serve as \u003cem\u003etribuni angusticlavii\u003c\/em\u003e. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe second group of 152 individuals, \u003cem\u003eTribuni militum in praetorio\u003c\/em\u003e, features Roman military tribunes who, between the first century BC and the third century AD, were assigned to serve in the \u003cem\u003ecohortes praetoriae\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003ecohortes urbanae\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003ecohortes vigilum\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem\u003eequites singulares\u003c\/em\u003e \u003cem\u003eAugusti\u003c\/em\u003e. These formations formally belonged to the Roman military system, although they had a special status.
