'Johnny D. is Back!' was produced by ex-Bowie guitarist Mick Ronson and recorded in Woodstock (USA). The band's sound is even more complete compared to their previous albums. John Sebastian (Lovin' Spoonful) plays an excellent harmonica solo on the song 'Second Chance', and the title track. At some moments it feels like listening to the Flying Burrito Brothers and Buffalo Springfield, while the comparisons to the sound of the Rolling Stones are still intact.
