Das Imaginarium Ensemble verzichtete hierzu vorübergehend auf seine Bassgruppe und wurde zu einem herausragend besetzten Ensemble solistischer Geigen (u.a. mit Boris Begelman und Alessandro Tampieri). Telemanns große Menge an Werken ohne Basso continuo erweist sich hierzu als ideal: Darunter befinden sich z.B. reizvolle Konzerte für vier Violinen ohne Bass und expressive Violinduette. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e “Sharp violins proclaim their jealous pangs and desperation, fury, frantic indignation, depths of pain, and height of passion, for the fair disdainful dame”. These words inspired Enrico Onofri to elaborate a programme focused on the violin and its ability to express such contrasting passions and moods. Imaginarium Ensemble temporarily disposed of its bass section and became a 'sharp band' of solo violins.
