You are supposed to clone and merge yourself in order to hide your black or indigenous side. They told me I had no place in this world, but I'm going to prove them wrong.\u003cbr\u003eWhen Daymé decided to change the subject and record her fourth studio album in Puerto Rico with producer iconic Eduardo Cabra (Calle 13), she would never have imagined that she would end up settling there. Relying on instinct and intuition is how Daymé has managed her career since she burst onto the international scene with “Nueva Era,” her prodigious debut album, in 2015. Today, she has completely reinvented her sound with “Al-Kemi” – a fusion of neo-soul vocals, Afro-Caribbean rhythms and slick new millennium pop.\u003cbr\u003eThe album is titled “Al-Kemi” with the Yoruba word for alchemy.
