Zoë's voice possesses a remarkable flexibility; rich and smoky in its lower register with a thrilling, soaring eloquence in the upper range that reflects years of classical training. Working on improvisation techniques with the likes of celebrated contemporary composer Harrison Birtwistle, Zoë's discovery of jazz during the autumn of 2001 is less a happenstance than a love-at-first-sight inevitability.
