Although this claim may seem cliché — as is often the case when promoting a new album — it is mainly explained here by a new dynamic inspired by their new guitarist, Luca Rosnau. Arrived in 2024 to replace Tom Lindemann, he integrated perfectly with his previous experience within the group's technical team. Luca also brought a new breath to the composition of*Hardbeat*, combined with the work of lead composers and founding members Sebastian Kranke (guitar) and Tim Dammann (vocals), this resulted in an album of great diversity. Everything is there: from ultra-heavy blues to lively shuffle, melancholic atmospheres and supercharged rock tracks. For the band, the album offers a sense of novelty while remaining familiar. The proven formula remains unchanged: maximum purification, punchy riffs and a tighter rhythm section than an XS size brief. For the recording, the band returned to the approach adopted for their previous album,*No Frills*. Once again, the titles were recorded in direct shot, thus perfectly capturing the very essence of HARDBONE. The goal was to achieve an authentic and organic sound, while remaining impactful and uncompromising. As with the previous album, Eike Freese played a major role in creating this sound. The group greatly appreciates this collaboration, which is both pleasant and demanding, and in the eyes of all participants, the result is indisputable. The recording process was somewhat clouded by health problems affecting the band and their close entourage, which ultimately influenced the choice of the album's title. At the same time, this title also reflects the overall sound of the disc. Overall, HARDBONE is very proud of this new work, especially since the creation process has not always been easy.
