Lead cut \"Constant Sorrow\" finds some serious musicians taking a traditional tune for a ride with a haunting arrangement. Throughout the album Daigle tears it up on guitar in a laid back fashion, often not breaking a sweat before trading off to Greg Overman's sax. Another Daigle original \"The Ghost of New Orleans\" offers up a nice groove that flashes with brilliance. With the instrumental \"Flextone\" Daigle draws the curtain and reveals a bit of himself, never showing off but with understated chops to spare. Stars is a fine batch of rootsy tunes, but here Daigle digs in again with Overman, setting the Dead influence aside and strutting ala Little Feat or The Band. A rich cover of \"I Wonder Where You Are Tonight\" is a very cool song to end the album.
