Their styles are very different, but Talbert finds in them an inspiration and point of departure to create his own unique stylistic jazz. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e ABOUT THE ARTIST \u003cbr\u003e Tom Talbert is a gifted composer, arranger and bandleader. Talbert has deep roots in the big bands he saw and heard in the late 30's, and was part of the exciting modern jazz world of the 40's and 50's. Talbert had his own band in the 1940's with musicians like Art Pepper, Claude Williamson, Milt Bernhart and Jack Montrose as regular members. Over the years he's written for bandleaders Claude Thornhill, Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Oscar Pettiford, and many more.
