Fulson urbanized his sound and got red hot at the dawn of the 50s, dabbled in rock and roll\u003cbr\u003emidway through the decade, and went downright funky during the mid- 60s, scoring one of his biggest sellers in the process. All the while, Fulson stayed true to his roots, his stinging lead guitar attack and burnished vocals always unmistakably his own.
