From 1992 we started with the splendid CD "Travels" and since then we had 3 different lineups with 7 releases: 'Travels' [1993] 'Moods' [1996] 'Oriental Garden' [1998] 'Best of Oriental Mood' [1998] 'Visits' [2001] 'Oriental Cut' [2004] 'Muktalef' [2007] My thoughts and humble thanks to the musicians who have participated in the long travel of Oriental Mood up until now: Yasar Tas, Emmerik Warburg, Hassan Khalil, Hadji Tekbilek, Claus Mathisen, Frank Juul, Marco Spallanzani, Niels Lichtenberg, Naze, Asmah Mnour, Rolf V Petersen, Jan Andersen, Anders Banke, Henrik Andersen, Zaki Youssef, Gustav Rey, Jesper Jordan, Jesper Løvdal, Johnny Kalsi, Niels Raae, Tine Vitkov, Rasmus Glendorf, Simon Dyhr, Bilal Irshed and Fatma Zidan. Now - 20 years later - Oriental Mood still continues to work, and I am proud to present the first production made by the last survivor - Lars Bo Khaled Kujahn Petersen. This production is made in a time before and after the "Arabian Spring". That's why it might have taken longer to produce than normal. However it has been an outstanding pleasure to work with some of the greatest musicians in Egypt: Mustafa Abdl Naby / Violin - Reda Abdeer / Ney - Taha Elsayed / Cello and Mudassar Wafa / Oud They made my compositions come alive in a very special and delightful way. Ehab Nabil - the great sound engineer known from the studio 'AMAR'- an icon of Egyptian sound when it's at it's best. I thank him for his effort and great work on this album. I give my thanks for great recordings in Denmark by Louise Nipper from Soundscape, Copenhagen. A 1001 thanks to my beloved wife Fatma Zidan for her great ears and critics. The message with this music is to show just how important it still is to appreciate the values we have from the Middle East, Turkey and Balkan areas. All compositions are made between 2005 and 2011 - and in this particular time I have had the best time of my grown-up life. In 2005 I got married to Fatma Zidan, with whom I hopefully will stay until my death and be continuously inspired by her amazing voice and beauty. My son - Moamen - I want to thank for being there with his amazing words in rhythm. - a poem of Mewlana tells more than I can express in words. 'Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.?It doesn't matter.?Ours is not a caravan of despair.?Come, even if you have broken your vow?a thousand times.?Come, yet again, come, come.'
